Don't you just love Fantasy art? I do, I also love fantasy literature btw. But today's post is about the art. Check out this wonderful twilight poster for instance: dark, romantic and mysterious.
Fairies and unicorns are a bit more on the light side of fantasy of course. Both sound a bit more innocent and sweet. Posters and calendars portraying these mystical creatures are usually in pastel colors and luminous in atmosphere. Not all though. Some of the fairy calendars feature creatures that are perhaps better called pixies. And these fairy posters aren't all cute either, though they ARE all beautiful.
Unicorns are the ultimate symbol of innocence and beauty. Very different from the vampires I started out with. It shows in the colors of these unicorn calendars: more pastels and less dark. Though I have to admit that Susan Seddon Boulet Fantasy Art Calendars and Planners aren't all pastel either: she uses a very wide and full palet.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy :)
What's the last movie you saw in the theater?
I saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, which I liked a lot. However, I did not think the performance of Daniel Radcliffe was very good. I'm perhaps being too critical because as one reader of my lens told me: if you liked the movie, how can the main character not have been played well? Harry Potter was certainly a thrilling movie and did do the book as much justice as can be expected, on the whole.
Rented?
I recently saw 'Made of Honour', a romantic comedy about old friends who should have gotten married ages ago. Except Tom, the main character, sleeps around a lot. then the girl, Hannah, meets a duke in Scotland and gets engaged. She asks Tom to be her Maid of Honor. All kinds of funny complications come out of that of course, but all ends well because really Hannah has loved Tom for a long time and had merely gotten tired of waiting for him.
